The AudioFuse is a remarkable audio interface, developed by Arturia. The manufacturer set out to create an innovative device, and has done so from a home-recording perspective. Basically, the AudioFuse serves as three different devices - a preamp, an audio interface and a monitor controller - but is no larger than the average lunchbox. Despite its compact housing, the AudioFuse is remarkably powerful and has a well-organised layout.
Arturia AudioFuse Gray: an overview
The back panel of the interface is filled with numerous inputs and outputs, but the front panel offers a fair few connectors as well, including two XLR/jack combo inputs. Both are equipped with DiscretePRO preamps, which combine the best features of classic studio consoles with modern technology, ensuring optimal audio quality. Adjusting these channels is possible by means of the controls on top of the interface. Gain, polarity and phantom power can all be altered, and there's even a -20 dB damping pad at your disposal. A practical direct monitoring functions allows you to monitor your sound without any latency.
Monitoring section
Centrally located on the Arturia AudioFuse, you'll find a large volume dial surrounded by LED lights. Practical functions like dim, mute and mono are at your disposal, so you wont't need a separate monitor controller. It's even possible to connect two speaker sets to the AudioFuse and to switch from one to the other. Below the volume knob there's a headphone section with room for two pairs of headphones that can be switched to mono at will. Each pair of headphones can be set either to the master channel or the monitor channel. The interface's built-in talkback microphone is particularly practical if you're recording a group of vocalists or instrumentalists.
Inputs and outputs
The AudioFuse offers a staggering amount of inputs and outputs for you to choose from. To start off with, you have an ADAT input and output - both good for eight audio tracks. There are also an S/PDIF input and output, as well as two analogue inputs that are capable of receiving phono signals. To save some room on the back panel, Arturia decided to transmit MIDI signals via mini jack. Finally, the AudioFuse has three USB inputs - that's right, the interface serves as a USB hub too. All USB signals are directly transmitted to your computer at a 24-bit bit rate and a 192kHz sample rate. That means you have studio-grade audio to work with!

Prijs: Relatief duur
Kwaliteit: Erg hoog naar moderne standaarden. Je krijgt een officiële certificering voor jouw specifieke pre-amps. Je totale headroom is bizar groot. de voorversterkers hebben een enorm gain bereik.
Bekijk online even een video over hoe dat dit product precies tot stand gekomen is. dan zie je alle details.
Vormfactor: Enorm compact, makkelijk om mee te nemen. Je hebt alleen hun specifieke USB kabel nodig.
Gebruiksvriendelijk: Ja, Enorm. De interface bied je genoeg visuele opties en mogelijkheden
Daarnaast is het gebruik van de direct en computer switch ideaal voor als je direct je inputs wilt horen.
Visueel kan je op de interface zien of dat er inputs in gebruik zijn en hoe hard je input binnen komt.
Daarnaast heb je een dedicated button on top waarmee je de gebruikers interface direct start.
Het gebruik van de mono switches, de dim switch en de speaker switch werken allemaal prima.
De drukgevoeligheid is niet te hard of zacht en je hoort een daadwerkelijke klik.
Tevens werkt het volumedraaiwiel in kleine klikstappen. Hierdoor kan je heel precies je geluid regelen.
De talk back is intern te routen naar diverse outputs. Je kan alle 4 de headphone outputs gebruiken.
Let op! Als je ze alle 4 gebruikt dan veranderd de impedantie wel en zal je dus een verlaagd volume hebben. Gelukkig zijn de voorversterkers krachtig genoeg om je te voorzien van een degelijk volume.
Connectiviteit: Alles is relatief makkelijk te overzien en aan te sluiten.
De midi connectoren over mini jack zijn nog stroef en zijn lastig in te pluggen.
De voorversterker van de mic en jack inputs op de voorkant herkennen automatisch wat voor type connector er word ingeplugd en op basis daarvan zal hij een optie geven met wat je precies kan doen.
Let op ! De phone inputs zitten in het apparaat zelf dus zorg voor bekabeling met een uitstekende connector.
Let op ! De interface word relatief warm en soms echt wel kokend heet. Dit komt mede door het gebruik van een volledige solide metaal body. Hierdoor werkt het metaal als warmtegeleider. Dit is niet te verhelpen helaas. Arturia zal dit zelf niet direct vermelden maar het is wel een belangrijk detail.
Al met al is het product meer dan prima en kan ik hem zeker aanraden.
Let wel op een paar kleine dingen en voor de rest zou ik hem gewoon aanschaffen en het zelf ervaren.
De levering van Bax-shop was prima op tijd en er was geen probleem met de verpakking.

super interface met geweldige features. Het verschil is zeker te merken met andere goedkopere interfaces, echt een aanrader.
